Night Out (Red Devil)

[Faye Holm]

Faye had been hired to perform 3 nights a week at a popular club in Downtown Metropolis. This earned her money and a free entrance into the club. Tonight, she was performing a rendition of "Umbrella" by Rihanna. she kept it just as lively as the original song, swayign her hips as she sang to the rythim of the song.

Her long, red, hair was curled and fell gently past her shoulders, swaying along with her hips. She wore red lipstick, and a long, red dress skirt, complete with a white tanktop. She looked absolutely stunning as she performed, looking around at all the people dancing along to the song. She loved watching people enjoy the music, it gave her a great sense of accomplishment.

At that moment, Eddie was currently stepping out a ring of fire. It was one of his portals he used to different places quickly. He currently summoned a portal in the back alley of Metropolis. No was around at the time, so he didn't cause any issues. However as he stepped threw the portal, you didn't see a didn't red devil, but a normal guy with long red hair. His long red hair was left hanging. For clothes he was wearing a pair of black kaki pants with red sticken and multiple pockets. He had on a pair of black sneakers, with a black belt. Lastly he wore a dark red long sleeve collared shirt. The top two buttons were unbutton.

Eddie needed to go out and spread his legs. He spent so many years serving a demon, that he never got time for himself. Hell even during his teenage years, Eddie didn't get to do anything due to his appearance. But now he was going to start enjoying his life. He walked out of the alley and noticed some people around his age heading inside this club. Eddie grinned as he walked on over to the door. He presented the door man some identification and paid the door fee.

As he went inside the bar, he took a look around and noticed it was a nice crowd. There were a couple places to get some drinks, a dance floor, and currently a band was on stage. The lead singer was definately a catching his attention, but he didn't know what song she was singing. "Maybe it something she wrote..." said Eddie to himself as he made his way towards the bar. The female bartender gave him a look and said "So, sexy what do you want?"

Eddie blush at the sexy comment. I mean he was never called sexy before in his whole life. But he looked at her and said "Just a water for now." The bartender reached underneath and pulled out a bottle of water. He gave it to Eddie and said "Don't worry about it, on the house. But make sure you give me your number later." Eddie just dumbly nodded and moved away from the bar. The bartender kinda scared him, because of her fowardness. So he made his way to the dance floor and pushed his way threw. He wanted to see the band play. Towards the end of the song did he make to the front of the stage. He looked at the singer and had admit to himself she was hot.

She seemed to give off an aura that said, 'I am hot and I know it.' Eddie just grinned at this and decided to listen to the next song. "I wonder what the next song was going to be? I mean she did an amazing job with the first one." said Eddie to no one in particular and just spoke in general.

Faye finished her song with a smile. As she curtzied, she caught the eye of a young man she hadnt seen before around her. He definately was cute in his own way, and Faye liked it. thinking quickly, she placed the microphone to her lips and said over the crowd. "Ok everybody, i'm gunna take a short break to catch my voice, and for now we're gunna take it over to the DJ" she said in a cheery, friendly voice. The dj began playing an upbeat techno song as Faye made her way down the steps to the stage and onto the dance floor, making her way towards Eddie.

"Did ya like the song?" she asked when she approached him, smiling, sweat glistening off her forehead. He looked even better up close, and her cheeks became flushed as she spoek to him.

He watched as the crowd roared when she finished the song. Hell the guy next to him was whistling really loud. Eddie had a smile on his face, since he next got to go to any concerts when he was younger. He found it odd, when seemed to look in his direction, but he threw that up to the idea, that she was checking some guy out in the crowd. I mean no girl would ever fall for him or check him out. She suddenly called a break and stepped down from the stage.

He was shocked when she walked over to him, with the sweat still on her forehead. She seemed to have an ability to draw in the crowd, cause they were still cheering for her. Then the DJ music came on and started to play. People in the crowd started to dance. He was caught up in the lights, music and the people, that he was shocked when she stood in front of him. He was more suprised when she started to talk to him. He tried to think of something to say that was really cool, but "Wait are you talking to me? I mean, I am not the best looking guy in the place."

Suprised by his words he tried again, "I mean...yea I really did enjoy the song. I suprised no one picked up you yet for a record deal or something. I mean that song you sang was amazing and must of been tough to right...and stuff." Damn Eddie sucked with words, as he blushed a little. "Can I get you anything?" Eddie was trying to make sure he wasn't cook from this conversation.

Faye chuckled lightly as he tried to find words to speak. He really was cute, and such a sweet heart. "No, I didnt write that, its a cover of a song by a REAL famous girl, not like me" She said, smiling. This guy seemed to have little or no confidence, the way he spoke about himself. But she found him to be the most attractive guy here, in his own unique way. "Nah, it's ok, I get free drinks for performing here" She said walking with him over to the bartender and ordering a water.

"Well, I'm Faye" She said, smiling at him brightly.

He was suprised when she laughed at him and remember some pointers from Beast Boy. He said if a girl laughs at you, it was a sign that you were doing okay. Then again this advice came from Beast Boy that seemed to have a funny attitude and good humor. But in Eddie's mind, it was a step in the right direction. He did find her laugh to be cute.

She then told him, that she was performing a cover song from some famous person. He now felt like an idiot, but it wasn't his fault. He was in the underworld for the past four years of his life. So he knew nothing of music or anything going on in the world at the moment.

"Oh sorry about that...my mistake. I don't get to listen to a lot of music from where I am from. But I did really enjoy your singing!" said Eddie as he walked over to her at the bar. He stood in front of her as she stood there. She then introduced herself to him. He smiled and said "It's nice to meet you Faye. My name is Eddie. " He spoke in a cheerful manner and didn't want to over step his boundaries. So he continued the conversation, "So how long has your band played here? You make it sound like you play every night, especially since you have a lot of fans."

"Eddie" she repeated to herself, looking up at him, smiling. He seemed nervous, liek he hadnt done this in a while, and Faye kinda enjoyed that about him. He was actually really friendly and easy going.

"Well, I play here three nights a week to make ends meet." she said. She blushed when he complimented her singing and gently stroked his cheek with her hand. "You're a sweetheart, you know that?"

He flushed a bit, when said his name. He never actually had any real social skills. I mean even during his time with the Titans, he was a bit of a loner. The only person he got a long with was Rose, and yet sometimes he couldn't talk to her. Then add in the idea he was living in the Underworld for the past four years of his life, he had no real social skills.

"That is a nice way to earn a living. I wish I get on stage and perform." said Eddie in a gentle tone of voice. But when he felt her reach up and touch his cheek, he flushed a little

"Thank you Faye, but I am just being me. Nothing to it." said Eddie as he looked down at the girl stroking his cheek. He then got an idea in his head, and flushed a little more. He reached up and took her hand into his own and said "Do you want to dance? I mean, I am not the best dancer around. But I can do a two step thing. Unless you don't want to waste your energy for the stage, then we can keep talking. I actually like talking to you." he paused for a second to regain his composure and said "Am I rambling?"

He continued to stand there gently touching Faye hand on his cheek.

Faye stood there, smiling at Eddie as he continued on, trying to speak in a continued flow, but no such luck. She smiled and placed her other hand over his, looking up at him. "What do you want to do? You don't need to try this hard with me. Just speak your mind, tell me how you really feel" She said, hoping to get him to warm up to her and become a little more relaxed.

Eddie felt her other hand lay on top of his hand. He smiled down at her as she spoke to him. She wanted to know what he wanted to do. That was really nice to hear, especially because of his lack of social skills and obvious nervousness. He would admit, he came here originally to live his life. Now was a good place to start. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He calmed his down a bit and spoke to Faye.

"Well...I just like talking to you and I have to admit the company is nice. I mean its not everyday a beautiful girl wants to talk to me. So just being here with you, is enough for me." said Eddie in a sincere tone of voice as he gazed down at Faye. He continued to look down at her and waited for her reply.

Faye looked at him, taken back by his words. It gave her a warm, good feeling in her heart. It's not everyday that a guy devotes the night to wanting to talk to a girl. She wanted to do something, to hug him, or kiss him or something to show how much that meant to her. "That's the nicest thing anyones ever told me" She said in awe. He face softened and she squeezed his hand gently. "Perhaps we could go for a walk outside? it's a little loud in here" She suggested, walking with him towards the exit, linking her arms around his.

After he made his statement about just being able to spend time with her, he was suprised by her reaction. He noticed her features softened and she gently squeezed his hand. He was amazed at this point, because now he was being lead outside by her, link by the arms. As he followed her towards the exit, he noticed that some of the guys were giving a look that said 'You lucky bastard'. He didn't pay attention to that and decide to enjoy the moment.

They walked out threw the front door and stepped outside. The air was cool, but not freezing. It was a gentle coolness in the air. He had agree with her that it was easier to talk out here. "It's nice outside, and easier to talk." spoke Eddie as he stood side to side with Faye. He didn't make no effort to remove the space between them, or the contact. He never got experience any type of relationship before and at this moment wished he had. Being this close to a beautiful woman was the most amazing feeling in the world.

"So I figure this is the part we talk about ourselves huh?" said Eddie in a warm teasing manner. "So preform three nights a week, it must be tough sometimes. I mean...staying up all night, singing, and practicing songs. All the work and you still look amazing, the people upstairs must like you." spoke Eddie as he turned towards her, but still held her hand. He liked the contact with a another person.

Faye chuckled at him, and smiled. "Yes, this would be the right time" she said as she walked with him. She had to admit, being arm in amr with him, their bodies close, it felt right. She couldnt explain it, but she liked being with this guy alot. "Well, it gets a bit exhausting, but I love to sing and seeing everyoen enjoy my music gives me a great feeling" She said, her voice fileld with passion for what she said.

Upon complimenting her again, she grinned up at him. "They must like us both, for they brought us together tonight" She said, smiling at him. "And I couldn't have asked for better company"

He looked at her with a sincere grin on his face after she talked about her love for singing. It remind him of his time with his Aunt on the movie sets. His Aunt always seemed to have that same smile on her face, when she was the director or producer for a movie. Then he found it funny when she turned around his statement on him.

He looked int her eyes and said "Are you teasing Faye? Mostly cause I am enjoying it and especially with cause it is you." He spoke in a cute manner that he hoped would bring out a good reaction.

Faye grinned up at him, pausing for a moment to gaze into his eyes. This guy was so different from everyone else, he was perfect for her. Charming, charismatic, and he knew exactly what to say. "Well, seeing as you like it so much, I'd have to say yes. And I usually dont tease guys like this so you should feel special" she said in a playful manner, her voice calm and gentle. Her hand slowly, daringly took his as she grinned playfully at him.
